Icarus

This self portrait deals with juxtaposition of strength and weakness. The initial concept is derived from a place of personal struggle caused by human flaws that affect my well-being. The work gives a nod to the myth of Icarus, and in a way relates to the essence of John Millais' painting "Ophelia", while recontextualizing the subject into present day.

  1. 1)This is like the final scenes of ARKHAM ASYLUM, where Amadeus Arkham dies.
2)This is to spite all those who claim you have no spine.
3)For my money, this picture is short of a lovely pelvis towards the top.
