The Launch of the Black Cube Collective I was invited to is starting !

The first show took place in The Old Ambulance Depot.

I will have 3 new pieces in the upcoming show.
The series is about an innate human desire to attempt to influence/control/own elements from the surrounding environment. Formally the work focuses on showing some form of natural progression by means of composition and surface treatment. Once again I'm adapting the idea of "fleshmaps" (derived from recent experimental flow): using the skin texture to implement the relationship of forms on various scales. It also serves as the connective element in this case.

Visiting Russia

I've been in Russia for the last few weeks. Finished a new series of 3 drawings titled Possession, for an upcoming show in Scotland I was invited to by Svetlana Kondakova, who is a founding member of the Black Cube Collective (more info coming soon). Delivered a few commissions, and met clients for future commercial work.

Spending my free time catching up with old friends, and mostly bonding with my grandma. Started some introspective drawings/paintings here as well. Revisiting familiar themes, connecting them with more recent ideas and methodology, keeping it pretty open, and focusing primarily on flow and progression of the images. Feels like its shaping into a series...
