My Icarus painting was featured in the Self Portrait issue of the Visual Opinion

We made promotional cards for our ARTILLERY quartet
And I used a fragment of the image for a business card (website still in progress, though will be finished real soon)

Its interesting how some projects you're involved in are beyond your control. They evolve on their own, over the time of their development. Here are a couple of things from the past:

I did a cover for the Fall issue of Inkstains (comics publication by the students at SVA), that unfortunately never got printed, but ! is now available online in its entirety !

Another project I initially got involved with last summer has been forming into shape this whole time and is beginning to flourish.

Icarus

This self portrait deals with juxtaposition of strength and weakness. The initial concept is derived from a place of personal struggle caused by human flaws that affect my well-being. The work gives a nod to the myth of Icarus, and in a way relates to the essence of John Millais' painting "Ophelia", while recontextualizing the subject into present day.
