My last project was an illustration to the greek myth of Oedipus Rex. I thought it would be interesting to show the process step by step, similar to my last year's professor

The first step is brainstorming

I then narrowed it down to a pretty clear idea of what I wanted to create


My main influences were the William Blake show which I then just saw, and the ALIEN movie poster, since my piece was meant to be a poster.

In the first stage I put down the composition and started painting it out

After more work and critique I realized that the figure needed to be adjusted

Next I changed the figure to give it more purpose and drama

So here is the finished product (not the best photo though).
